As we start a brand new year, we take a look back at a successful 2022 for Chapman Ventilation.

Projects

Building on the momentum of 2021, we had another fantastically busy year in 2022! Last year we collaborated on projects with a wide range of brands. We continued working with long standing clients, who are some of the top names in the hospitality sector, whilst also forming new relationships with some exciting, up and coming brands. Additionally, we were delighted to work within new environments which included gyms, shopping centres and education providers.

Maintenance

Chapman Ventilation provided emergency coverage every day in 2022 (except Christmas Day). We are very proud that we continued our long-standing commitment to support our clients to get restaurants back open when no one else is able to. Our knowledgeable and dedicated team are always happy to help and provide high-quality maintenance to keep your HVAC system running at its best.

Production

In 2022 we continued to work with clients around the world and exported products to the Middle East, Australia, USA and Europe, as well as supporting all of our UK operations.

Accreditations

It was a successful story in terms of accreditations! Towards the end of the year, we were thrilled to receive the Constructionline Silver Membership. We were delighted that our products, services and meticulous Health and Safety policies have been verified by such a highly recognised industry standard. We were also pleased to once again become members of the Sustainable Restaurant Association. The purpose of the SRA is to accelerate change towards an environmentally restorative and socially progressive hospitality sector. This aligns perfectly to our commitment to manufacturing and sourcing the most innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly products on the market, and working with clients to reduce energy consumption.

Partnerships

Chapman Ventilation maintained relationships with the leading clubs in the hospitality industry in 2022. As sponsors, we enjoyed attending study tours, conferences and awards ceremonies. In November, we were delighted to present the Innovation Award to Boparan Restaurant Group at the R200 Awards.

Supporting Charities

In 2022, our generous members of staff raised an amazing amount of money for our four chosen charities! Via a variety of activities, we raised money throughout the year for the charities closest to our hearts. They are: The UK Sepsis Trust, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Disasters Emergency Committee and our local charity, Isabel Hospice. We also participated in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as raising money for Isabel Hospice, we also joined their sustainability initiative “Tonnes of Care” as a Responsible Business. Their aim is to save 25,000 tonnes from going to landfill by taking donations to raise money for the care they provide to the community. Since May 2022, we have donated 520kg (22 holiday suitcases!) of our unwanted items. Those items were stocked in Isabel Hospice charity shops, where the funds raised are paying for crucial nursing care.

Fun Stuff

With Covid-19 restrictions now behind us, our Events Team organised a staggering 15 social activities in 2022! We enjoyed charity raffles, a Platinum Jubilee afternoon tea, payday drinks, a World Cup sweepstake, pizza deliveries and a fantastic Christmas party. They even organised a visit from the local ice cream van during the heatwave in the summer! As well as these events providing a lot of fun (and delicious food!) they also raised awareness of important causes including World Mental Health Day and Macmillan Cancer Support.

As Gold Award holders of the Armed Forces Covenant Employee Recognition Scheme, we supported the Armed Forces Week in June. Chapman Ventilation participated in the nationwide campaign #SaluteOurForces whereby members of the public around the UK capture themselves saluting to honour past and present troops. The photograph is then shared in appreciation and to raise awareness of the incredible work that they perform.

Looking ahead to 2023

We have really appreciated working with our clients, supporters and suppliers, old and new, throughout 2022.

Chapman Ventilation are excited to start the New Year working on a variety of projects we have lined up in some unique settings. Our Factory team are hard at work on orders and our Maintenance team are on hand to assist clients.

We look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2023.
