Here at Chapman Ventilation we have been shocked and devastated as we watch the Russian invasion of Ukraine unfold over recent weeks.

We were moved when reading on the “Food Service Journal” website, link below, that 6 celebrity chefs have hosted a 5 course charity dinner and auction raising an amazing £70,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

The dinner was held at Barboun, Shoreditch and the chefs involved were Nieves Barragan from Sabor, Lisa Allen from Northcote, Tom Kerridge from Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, Angela Hartnett from Murano, Neil Borthwick from The French House and Ed Wilson from Brawn.

One of our previous customers, Hawksmoor, has also been fundraising for the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. They are donating a percentage from sales of their Ambassador dessert and their Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew cocktail and are match-funding all money raised from these 2 items. In addition, they are donating £10,000 to the charity as well.

Chapman Ventilation have also made a charitable donation to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to support the people of Ukraine at this truly awful time.

The DEC are experts in humanitarian aid and specialists in disaster response, and they launch appeals in times of crisis and suffering. Their Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal is raising funds to provide food, water, shelter, healthcare and protection for those fleeing the conflict.
