80th anniversary of VE Day

On 8th May we commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
We joined together at midday to mark the two minute silence to honour the bravery and sacrifices made for peace and the resilience and unity that ended World War II.
An afternoon tea was also organised for everyone to enjoy to mark this historical day. As ever, our local catering provider treated us to a fantastic selection of cakes and scones.
As signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and Gold Award Holders of the Employer Recognition Scheme we are proud to show our support to those that support our nation, past and present, and we will continue to advocate for the committed men and women in our Armed Forces.
