Run Geordie Run – 3200 mile run across America

Today, Mark Allison aka “Run Geordie Run” begins his epic 3200 mile run, across America in aid of St Benedict’s Hospice.

Mark is a volunteer fundraiser for charities in the North East of England. As long standing friends and admirers of Mark’s dedication to fundraising, we are proud to sponsor his latest mission in America. Mark will be running from the east coast, starting at Coney Island, New York to the west coast, finishing at Huntington Beach, California, in 100 days.

Mark began fundraising in 2007 in memory of his parents and brother. To date, he has completed five major running events around the world and covered a staggering 10,000 miles. This has resulted in Mark raising an amazing £350,000 for a variety of charities which include Useful Vision, The Children’s Foundation, The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and St Benedict’s Hospice.

Mark is hoping that his latest challenge will enable him to raise a further £60,000 for St Benedict’s Hospice.
