Roka

Project: Roka - Canary Wharf
Client: Roka Restaurants
Architect: Cotton Thompson Cole
Main Contractor: GF Interiors

Chapman ventilation have just handed over the Roka Restaurant in the Pavilion at Canary Wharf.

This project was our first for this very high profile and exclusive client.  With a wealth of experience at Canary Wharf, we were able to provide a scheme that met both the needs of the operator and the requirements of the Landlord – especially in connection with the provision of air purification.  The main cooking takes place on a “Robata” grill located within the restaurant.  We worked very closely with Halton, the world’s leading canopy manufacturer to ensure that we provided exactly the right system for this application.

In addition to the front of house theatre kitchen we provided extract and supply to the main kitchen and back of house areas.  We also provided the restaurant comfort cooling and supply air.

Working very closely with the design team we were able to incorporate all of the mechanical services within the scheme while meeting their design needs.  The ducted comfort cooling units provide conditioned air via perimeter linear grilles running around the perimeter of the bar and front dining areas.

“This project is further proof that we, as a Company, are capable of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, regardless of whether it’s a branded operator on a leisure park or a high end destination restaurant such as this one.  We have completed 4 projects at Canary Wharf this year – let’s hope we have more next year”
