The annual CGA Hero & Icon Awards took place on Wednesday 21st November at The Brewery in London. The awards, in its 14th year, shortlisted over 50 different brands and companies plus six individuals from 14 different categories across the restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés industry in the U.K.

• Brand XP award: The Botanist
• Consumer choice: Miller & Carter
• Best newcomer of the year: Blacklock
• Breakthrough brand: The Ivy Collection
• Evolutionary Brand: Caravan
• Best destination opening within the last 24 months: The Florist, Liverpool
• Most admired brand: Dishoom
• Best concept: Flat Iron
• Best Entrepreneurial Company – less than 50 sites: Hawksmoor
• Best Company, with 50 sites or more: Wagamama
• Power Brand: Wetherspoon
• Industry leader: Jane Holbrook, CEO of Wagamama
