Bill’s has reported like-for-like sales growth of 8.1% over the Christmas period. The group said its restaurants within the London area were 10.8% ahead of the market (based on the Coffer Peach Business Tracker) over the six-week Christmas period, and across the rest of the UK the restaurants traded 13.1% ahead of the market. Christmas bookings at Bill’s increased by 100,000 – a 6% increase from last year, and there was an increase in sales of the brand’s Christmas specials menu by 40% year-on-year.
Following a trial in Covent Garden in October, the group will roll out a more extensive dinner menu which led to a 26% increase in revenue versus the rest of the estate. Key features of the new dinner menu include daily changing specials, as well as healthy and indulgent dishes including: Bill’s Fish Pie, Duck Pie, Bill’s Hamburger and Glow Bowl. The group has reacted to the current market trends and introduced a range of dishes for vegans and vegetarians.
The menu is being team with the openings of new look sites across the stare and the use of more live music as an evening hook.
