Sticks’n’Sushi, King’s Road
Working in the HVAC industry can have some elements of glitz and glam (not just wind and tin)…my personal favourite is being invited to new restaurant openings that we have been involved with. Last week we were invited to the soft launch of Sticks’n’Sushi’s biggest and brand-new site on the iconic King’s Road in Chelsea. Sticks ‘n’ Sushi is an uber-chic Danish sushi chain with eight sites in the UK.
Taking over three storeys on King’s Road, the Danish company’s new sushi and yakitori sticks spot features a private dining room with a difference – you get your own chef, staff, music and even lift! The décor at this restaurant is sleek and stylish (very much instagrammable!). The centre of the ground floor is taken up by an open kitchen island with counter seating surrounded by high banquettes and lower table seating, creating a sense of theatre as well as a great view of our extract system, of course. There is also a small lounge area with comfortable seats at the front of the ground floor. The perfect spot to sit back, have a drink and watch the world on the Kings Road walk by.
The extensive menu is presented as a photo album featuring images of every dish, each more beautifully composed than the last. The dishes are grouped into categories, which makes it so much easier when ordering. It also has a ‘green menu’ – for vegetarians and vegans. So basically, there’s something for everyone.
Now on to the food. Does it taste as good as the menu looks…Hell yes! We tried a whole array of sushi and yakitori, all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, each one with its own unique taste. Other highlights were the succulent Edi bites, the tuna tarte and tsukune. The desserts were to die for, my favourite being the matcha fondant.
This was my first visit to Sticks’n’Shushi and by no means my last. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff were so accommodating and friendly and the food was just exquisite.
Working with Sticks’n’Sushi was an amazing experience, we look forward to adding them to our client case studies page shortly… keep your eyes peeled!
